1.     The following errors were discovered in the books of sunitha on 31 December 2000

Given that the difference in the trial balance $ 2610 was debited to suspense A/c

Give Journal entries and suspense A/c

i)     Purchases Book is undercast by $1000 (for the month of December)

ii)   Sales Book has been overcast by $500

iii) $ 760 paid for repairing Machinery had been debited to Machinery A/c

iv) Cash $ 390 received from Raja though entered in the cash book had not been posted to Raja’s A/c

v)   A sale of $ 4000 to Kavita has been passed through the purchase book.

vi) Goods returned by Selvi $ 750 has been entered in the Returns Outwards book. However, Selvi’s A/c is correctly posted.
