  1.      If 9 is the result of subtracting 12 from 7 times a number, find the number.

   2.      Double a number and then subtract 9. If the answer is 11, what is the number.

      3.      Add 3 to a number. If the result of multiplying this total by 7 is 63, find the number.  

      4.      Seven is added to three times a number. The result is then doubled. If the answer is 68, calculate the number.

     5.      Three is subtracted from 7 times a number. The result is multiplied by 5. If the answer is 55, calculate the value of the number by constructing an equation and solving it.
